Volunteer for the 2025 Stark Pride Festival

The Stark Pride Festival is a volunteer-driven event. Below you'll find a variety of ways that you can help make the 2025 event as amazing as possible. 

FEATURED OPPORTUNITY:
Youth & Family Area

We need volunteers to help run the fun in our youth & family area! Volunteer for just a few hours or the full day.

Need Community Service Hours? Our team captains are happy to sign community service forms for completed hours the Stark Pride Festival.
Volunteer Co-Chair
Shift: Day of event & as needed during the recruiting process
Duties: Recruit & coordinate volunteer assignments in the weeks leading up to Stark Pride, assist in volunteer coordination the day of the event.


ENTERTAINMENT TEAM
Assistant Stage Manager--Filled

Backstage Security (1 per shift)
Shifts: 2 hours (or more) between 9:30 am to 9:00 pm
Duties: Ensure security for the valuables left by the performers in the entertainment tent.

Tip Collectors (2 per shift)

Shifts: 4:15-5:00 pm, 5:45-6:30 pm, and/or 7:15-8:00 pm
Duties: Collect tips for each queen and bring them to the stage after each of the queen's performance.

Entertainment Teardown (1 volunteer)
Shift:
9:00 pm–10:30 pm
Duties: Assist Entertainment  Committee Chair/Stage Director and Assistant Stage Manager with teardown of entertainment area.


HEADQUARTERS
Merch & Checkin (2 per shift)
Shifts: 2-4 hour shifts between 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Duties: Checking in vendors & show them where to set up, giving out maps, selling merchandise using a tablet & cash box, communicating any issues to committee members, checking out vendors.

Floaters (2 per shift)
Shifts: 2-4 hour shifts between 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Duties: Help in various areas throughout the event, assisting Merch & Checkin Staff

LOGISTICS TEAM
Setup (10 volunteers)
Shift: 8 am-Noon
Duties: Assist with setting up tables and chairs around Centennial Plaza and surrounding streets

Trash Troopers (5 Volunteers)
Shifts: 2-4 hour shifts between 2:00 pm and 9:30 pm
Duties: Assist with trash collection by emptying trash cans and sweeping up trash throughout event space


Teardown  (10 volunteers)
Shift: 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Duties: Assist with tearing down tables and chairs around Centennial plaza and surrounding streets


YOUTH & FAMILY AREA
The Youth & Family Area will be open 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

Set-up (4 volunteers)
Shift: noon to 2:00 pm
Duties: Set up tents, tables, chairs, games, etc.

Teardown 
(4 volunteers)

Shift: 6:00-7:30 pm
Duties: Teardown and clean up event space

Activity Coordinators (18-30 volunteers) 
Shifts: 1:45-4:00 pm, 3:45-6:00 pm, or 1:45-6:00 pm
Duties: As an activities coordinator, you will be assigned to one of the following areas (please indicate your preferences in the signup form):
  • Bounce House (1 volunteer per hour)
  • Inflatable Obstacle Course (2 volunteers per hour)
  • Inflatable Axe Throwing (2 volunteers per hour)
  • Large Games (2 volunteers per hour)
  • Bracelet Making (2 volunteers per hour)
  • Art Center (2 volunteers per hour)
  • "Rage" Booth (2 volunteers per hour)
  • Giveaway Booth (2 volunteers per hour)
  • Raffle Booth (1 volunteer per hour)
  • Photographers (2 volunteers per hour)
